wine shops recommendations for Portland and Seattle

I have a couple of days in each city, but sadly no time to get out to the wineries. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Happy summer.
Brad

Portland:
Division Wines
Vinopolis

Seattle:
meh...
I do enjoy going to Madison Cellars which sometimes has quirky old things on the shelves.
City Cellars is good for everyday stuff, good palate alignment.

From a Seattle resident who buys nearly all their wine via the internet from other states.

I'd add Sec in Portland. I'm not sure what the physical set up is (it might be just a warehouse and website) but excellent selection and service.

Seattle: I miss Vif.

While the Portland recs have been good so far, I'll offer a hearty endorsement for Taborly Wines as well. It's a smaller shop than either Sec or Vinopolis, but Michael (who posts here some) is a gem of an owner who has great taste and a really well-curated selection. Plus, his inventory isn't online so there are always some gems in the side-room that should be sold-out but aren't. *And* you're not far from Apizza Scholls, if you time it right.

(Depending on timing, there are also some [good] wineries in Portland and also, errrr, some winemakers who live in the city that can host tastings in their backyards, should you be looking to do winery things)

Great to get these other Portland recs.

Agree with winemaker convo...Teutonic, Division (the winery is diff than shop) well worth a visit.

Thanks for the rec, Saul. Brad - if you happen to be here on a Friday, our Friday Night Tastings at Taborly are a good time. Not when you'll be in town, but here's the lineup for the next month or so:

7/28: The Wines of JC Garnier & Michel Autran
8/2: Little Crow Vineyards & Stick Figurine, winemakers in person
8/9: Martin Woods' 2022s, with the winemaker in person
8/16: Stephen Goff's 2022s, " " " "
8/23: Clos Saron, winemaker not in person

Believing that one good turn deserves another, if you haven't you really oughta taste Saul's wines. Championship Bottle is the label, and the wines represent a unique take on the Willamette Valley. Gorgeous Pinot blanc, and a rosé that evokes Valentini Cerasuolo. Regardless of what you do, I hope Portland treats you well.

Thanks, Michael K. Sadly, we are there Sunday through Wednesday morning, so we will miss seeing your shop. Saul, I'll be in touch directly. I definitely want to pick up some of your wines.
Thanks,
Brad
