Petrolo Galatrona

They do in FL.
Top 15 skews in FL are Cabernet, Zin, Amarone and Belle Glos (I hesitate to call it Pinot).
People buy a disproportionate amount of Amarone here, too, but for the same reason as people who pound down a six-pack of malt liquor.

That's interesting, what's the data source? Out here in the Bay area, Trader Joe's has moved from stocking one Amarone to three.

The distributors and retail purveyors I dealt with for about ten years.

Might incite more disagreement, but I pulled another bottle of the Petrolo Galatrona Val d'Arno di Sopra '18. I was alerted there was some more of it at a California wine retailer at an attractive price and bought some more.

It worked just right tonight with a beans/greens/chicken dish and some baked sweet potatoes. The tasting note (such as it is) in the parent message was/is right on.

If I wasn't (Jonathan, I know it should be "weren't") trying to limit my wine buying, I would seek out some more, especially since, regrettably, I have so little Merlot in my cellar.

By the way, I have only recently discovered this California wine purveyor and have really been impressed with their service and responsiveness, plus their shipping is free. It is First Bottle Wines.

I had already written my comments and when I looked back I noticed I had written as I would have spoken...which is what I normally do. You are correct, I should have corrected it.
