2010 Sainte-Anne CdRV Notre Dames des Cellettes

Always a big fan of this wine - all round traditional old school southern Rhone. This has enough Mourvedre in it to be quite distinct - earthy forest floor is definitely present. Cellared since release in cold storage, this is in great shape a pure pleasure - decanted and didn't budge/evolve over evening one inch prior to being finished (rather quickly).

Our last go round with this domaine was from the 98-01 era - of various cuvees - this struck me as ever so slightly more modern, but also could be the vintage. Hard to know these things these days.

I have a bottle each of this bottling and the St Gervais (both ‘98) in my home wine fridge. Waiting for the right event to open them side by side. Probably this winter. I also have 2004s in the cellar.
