This is showing very well right now. Fully mature and tastes like an elegant CdP. Nice finish and lots of garrigue aromatics. Label says 14% but I’d never guess that. Beautiful with a black garlic sheep’s cheese.
The ‘14, which we did end up drinking with our Thanksgiving duck, was a classic and mannerly example of the genre. A huge nose of dark cherry and smoked meat, medium body with fresh acidity. It still retains the fruit of its youth, so there’s pretty clearly another decade of life ahead for it.
