2006 Anthill Farms Andersen Valley
My first time with this winery. Ruby/Dark Brown in color, mostly clear and bright. The nose has cherries, currants and a slight amount of cough syrup. The texture is juicy and it is smooth to drink. On the palate, cherries, anise and RC Cola. A long finish. This is tight with lots of tight layers and nicely complex. I will be interested to see where this goes in a few years.

2006 Joelle Amber Ridge Vineyard
Light cherry red in color, clear and bright. Plenty of fruit on the nose, but much more elegant than the KB. Cherries and dirt on the nose and a palate to match. A bit of an herbal note on the palate. A bit of heat on the finish. I liked this wine.

2005 Altavia dolceaqua
A Ligurian red from Italy. Made from Rossese grapes. Light ruby in color, clear and bright. The nose has plums and diluted cherries. Light bodied. On the palate, this has black raspberries. I would have liked to try this earlier in the day. It has a lightness to it that is enjoyable but hard to appreciate after all this wine. 13% Alc.
