D.R.C. at Costo

My first reaction is “who do they think their target audience is?” If I were gonna order $30K worth of DRC, I wouldn’t be doing it through a retailer with unknown storage conditions.

Pretty strange. I don't think DRC sells 5 bottle "assortments," much less in a 6-bottle OWC, so this isn't really an assortment so much as 5 random bottles of DRC, which based on the markup didn't come through the usual distribution channels. I wouldn't have thought Costco would bother selling "private collection" or grey market wine.

made stranger still by including La T“che.
 
not that this is relevant to what is going on now, but back in the early 2000's Costco at that point was the single largest seller of first and second growth Bordeaux in the USA. I still have one bottle of 1999 Chateau Palmer that I paid $66 at the time.
