With Roast Turkey, mashed potatoes with, and cranberry relish

2001 Domaine du Vissoux Cuve Traditionnelle vielles vignes, alc 12.5%, $15: Sweet plum on the nose...hint of powder...still has excellent fruit structure and acidity...really lively on the palate...has taken on some darker fruit notes...finishes well... great with the food...still going fairly strong

We also opened a '98 Jean-Paul Champignon Fleurie Les Rches...funky and likely lightly corked... muted fruit with some unusual chemical and mint notes..damn!

That '01 Vissoux Cuvee Traditonelle is one of my favorite wines of all time. I think I went through about 4 cases of the wine over 4-5 years. Interesting to hear it is still fairly strong.
