Who needs "typique"??

2007 JP Brun L'Ancien Terres Dorees vielles vignes..Vin de Table ,Red Table wine...bullshit..this is well made Beaujolais (quite well I must note!!)...what were they thinking??....Great "juice"...If Monsieur DeBoeuf ever made wine 10% as well as this, I might buy it!!
 
I found this wine more typique than what is passing for typique in '07. The standard for '07 seems to be that of over extraction, low acid, fruit salads. I did find a difference between this wine and the earlier bottling that received its proper "Beanjolais" stamp of approval (though this may be attributed to time for recovery from travel sickness) and I prefer the declassified one. It brings back memories of past L'Ancien's that were trading for less than $10 a bottle.

I must say I prefer the declassified one as well...unfortunately, this was not below $10 but about $14...oh well...
