What a relief

I've never been there but the inside of Minetta Tavern looks a little like Buca di Beppe.

I never imagined it like that when I read those jeebus stories.

Kitchy Italian American!

I am relieved. I have been reading about Minetta's jeebuses and steamed steaks for at least a dozen years and never got into the place. Now I may still get a chance - although I understand from this thread that the steamed steak may be a thing of the past? By the way, there's a place in Madrid called Dantxari that actually HAS a steamed steak as one its specialties, and it's pretty good.

Just because the other kids are jumping off the bridge doesn't mean that you have to follow them.

Will Brad still have clout there? Is it grandfathered into the lease or something?

Nope. My previous contact sold to new owners.

I think you should march right down there and introduce yourself.

Probably best to let them know that Googling might not be advisable, though.
