More signs of the recession?

I just received my Kermit Lynch mailer today and right there on the cover is "Red Burgundy Sale 40% to 50% off". Opening the cover reveals loads of 2006 and a few 2005 red burgundies on sale at 40% off on the bottle and 50% by the case. As one who enjoys burgundy but seldom buys for economic reasons I would greatly appreciate a little feedback from fellow disorderlies on what genuine bargains are being presented here - if any.
 
Maybe the recession, but not a terribly broad sale and they have been known to offer similar discounts in the past for similar inventory-moving reasons.

Today's Dee Vine offer of 66% off red and white Burgundy made for some really astounding price reductions. But limited to Lequin-Colin.
