Trying to get a deal, eh?

From what I've gathered, Internet-wise, they seem softish, more early maturing wines at the lower crus. At the prices being blown out, they seem like a good deal.

Yeah, $18 for a 2004 Corton Languettes Grand Cru will get your attention.

I've had many a nice, cheap early-drinking Santenay from here.

Seems hard to go wrong with those prices and I was tempted because I already had an order ready to ship from Dee Vine. But I held off because somehow the idea of fierce and cheap 05 Corton or Pommard was not what I needed for my small apartment.

But, please do buy some and post notes!

A good strategy up to a point. After that it gets ridicolous.

I've had a handfull of these wines in the 2004/2005 vintages (4-5 different crus at least). Very good value for money, absolutely fine wines, and drinks well early. I have 3 Corton Charlemagnes 2004 that I perhaps should start tasting BTW.

I bought a case of the 2004 Corton, too good a price to pass up, and thought they all stunk.

I regifted 9 bottles.

I've only had the whites. In Norway they are excellent QPR's and have had good writeups, I'm not sure whether the reds are available here.

At least they were available. I had a couple of the cheaper red ones (santenay) and they were nice QPR's. That's probably the story about this producer. Their wines are not the state-of-the-art, but they are good value for money (at least the bottles here in Norway).
