Questions

Why is it that sometimes the replies count goes from say 12, to 1? I've noticed this both with this thread and a couple of others, where there'll be a higher replies count and then it'll go to about 1 and it takes a refresh or two to get the replies count back.

Also, why are the replies count sometimes divided? I.e., the volatile acidity thread currently shows 9/9, Technique fixations 5/35, Recent tastes 2/2.

Seems to me to be total replies vs. new replies since you last checked the thread.

Can we get a "home" button at the bottom of the thread as well as at the top of the screen? Would save a few seconds of scrolling up.

There is a "return to the main page." does that work for you?

Ah, missed that. Small print. Thanks!

My favorite was this fifth grader - can't remember his name - I don't know if he was a racer per se, but boy could he do wheelies! I was in third grade, and found it both inspiring and a bit intimidating. Of course, the boulder-heavy kiddie cruiser (no banana seat, but I did have streamers on the handlebars) resisted all of my efforts to defy, even for a split second, the demoralizing effect of gravity.

Nice to see some of the refugees straggle in over here. Thanks to the Politburo for the new digs.

Cheers,

Dave

What's a BMX racer?

Here's a photo of my 1985 Schwinn Predator Freeform EX.

It's a freestyle BMX.

For more information, watch the 1986 epic "RAD".

OK, this is a biggie.

If I never open a thread, will its cup remain red forever? That seems so cluttered... On some fora, after you've clearly chosen not to read something, it falls back into the ranks of the "seen it already," even if one hasn't clicked.

I find myself clicking on threads just to straighten everything up.

What, me, anal retentive?

I've been clicking on every thread, just for that very reason.

Those red glasses make me uneasy.

On the other hand, I do enjoy it. Gives me a sense of progress, extinguishing those little red lights one by one.
