2007 Do Ferreiro, Albarino Cepas Vellas

Florida Jim

Has anyone else tasted this wine?
I find it less impressive than the 2006 version but it also seems to be "hiding" most of what it has. I'll try it after a night in the 'fridge tonight but I'm pretty sure I am going to let this have some cellar time - maybe, a good bit.
Best, Jim

I haven't had the '07 yet, though I'd love to hear how it showed the next night (better I'm sure). I just picked up a couple bottles and don't plan on hitting them for a few years. I had the '05 and '06 a few months ago and was really impressed, so I think some bottle age helps these.

I think it's hugely backward and closed now but in the end it will surpass 2007. Also, enjoy: there will be no 2008 CV (oidium, hail, all sorts of mishaps ruined the harvest in the Cepas Vellas vineyard.)

I think all the material is there but it will take some time to show it The 06 is drinking much better now than it was 8 months ago.

Sorry about the typo. Yes, I think so.

FWIW, I agree.
Your credibility is exploded since your announcement that 2008 Briords is the wine to hold over 2007.

Do you mean exploded like magnified?

I submit you were in no condition to taste and that Marc agreed with me. I think. It could have been Linus.

I think Joe means kaput, VLM. Although for someone with no credibility to begin with I think it's actually difficult to do...

You've always been jealous of my magical powers.
