I wasn't thinking that cilantro love would correlate with Clape love, more that cilantro seems quite polarizing, much like Clape seems to be. Jokes are always funnier when explained, so I expect everyone to laugh now.

Oh, I got it, but I find earnest responses to jokes to often be funnier than the jokes themselves.

I don't see too much Clape hate around here, just boredom. I don't mind them, I just haven't bought since 1995.

I was just doing my part to assist thread drift. I was hoping it might lead to some good Thai restaurant recommendations.

Boredom is a better description of my reaction to Clape as well.
 
I'll never forget some valuable advice in a British gardening guide I read many years ago, offered to the would-be grower of coriander (whose leaves are known as cilantro).

"Discard the foul-smelling leaves."

But personally, I like cilantro, and rau ram too.
