A lovely, light colour. The scent is pure, beetroot-like Pinosity, and this gets carried onto the palate which is bright and pure and has a lovely, refreshing tart quality to the ripe fruit. The tannins are attractively prominent. It is fairly light but also intense and racy. Awesome and pure wine!

Stylistically this reminds me a bit of the (far too few) Faiveleys or Montilles (or perhaps Gouges, but my experience is even smaller here...) that I have had. How fun. I heard rumours that we might see the white Beaujolais soon also. I must twist the arm of the importer to make the red Beaujolais available, too.

Wow, I'd buy that just for the label.

Err, I mean, why are you clogging up my screen with pictures of wine bottles? We all know what a wine bottle looks like.

Does this make it stateside?

I have heard you all ramble on about this producer for years and never seen a bottle.

They have some wines from this producer at the SAQ in Quebec. I own a bottle of the white, but did not have carry on space to fit it in my last trip home on the plane (small bag checked).

That is the white - I looked at this and wondered if it was, indeed the same producer. There were a couple single vineyard wines too, I think....

Yes, here is what they have in stock....

Beaujolais Chardonnay Terres Dores 2007
White Wine, Still Wine, 750 ML, 00713495 $23.20

Beaujolais L'Ancien Terres Dorees 2007
Red Wine, Still Wine, 750 ML, 10368221 $17.55

Cte de Brouilly Terres Dores Jean-Paul Brun 2007
Red Wine, Still Wine, 750 ML, 10520237 $19.60

Moulin--Vent Terres Dores Jean-Paul Brun 2007
Red Wine, Still Wine, 750 ML, 10837331 $22.40

So, I would be well served by owning some? I do have someone coming down from there next week.....

its all great stuff, but why is the chard so expensive? it should be much less than the other wines, esp. the moulin a vent...

That's because in the States, with an ocean of crappy, cheap California Chardonnay, J-P's distribution told him that his beautiful Beaujolais Chardonnay would only sell at a cut-rate price.

Prices...Those are $CDN.....

Ah, okay, that makes sense. I too was wondering why the chardonnay was the most expensive of the bunch, when it's the cheapest down in the States. I forgot the currency exchange.
