The photo of Joe is classic!

Sandi is a cancer survivor (thyroid). She felt the same way as Joe about people praying for her. Living in Bakersfield CA at the time (for those who don't know, that's Bible Belt country), I'm sure she got a lot of that. On Friday, she told me a story about an acquaintance who came up to her and told her how thyroid cancer was one of the "easiest cancers to treat".

She had to grit her teeth and say "thank you". What she really wanted to do was tell the woman to fuck off (Sandi's words, not mine).

In New York. Visually it looked to be about 3 or 4 to one. It was sparkling water, Poland Spring (might have even been flavored?) and the orange peel - just delicious.
