All right you Disorderists, who is planning on attending the Dressner winemaker gala at CSW on Sunday? Don't all raise your hands at once. I know Kane will be the easy one to find: I simply stare in the eye-popping glare of camera flash.
But the rest of you are pretty incognito to me...well, unless Coad wears his trademarked Hawaiian shirts.

I missed the first event this year having been in Lake Tahoe for ski season. I will not miss this dandy. Do any of you know me, no. Does that matter, no.

JBL and I will be attending the "for the trade only tasting" this Thursday the 23rd in San Francisco. We've decided to score the tasting on the 100 point scale and if it garners 90 or more points we'll reserve first class seats on a flight on the 24th. Our destination will be NY so we can attend Joe's gala encore event Sunday. Will Kane be there to chauffeur us into town as usual?

Wow, thrillseekers.
Oh my God how soon we forget. I drove with Mark Anisman from Manhattan to Brooklyn with Kane driving. I don't have enough years left in my life to ever attempt that again. The horror! We do forget things that are too painful to remember.

I find that once one accepts the fact that Kane is the reincarnation of a slightly deranged blind drunken New Delhi taxi driver, a certain Zen-like calm descends as one accepts the inevitability of one's demise.

Drinking heavily beforehand helps too.

To really understand a subject to that depth one must have first hand knowledge.
I feel your kinship fellow survivor.

I'll be there. Likewise trying to arrive early.

As for spotting me, I'm the one from the Madiran/cassoulet jeebus group pic towards the center, wearing the kuffiyeh.
