btw, Jim, stripes in any direction, will reveal the landscape underneath (vertical probably moreso). there are benefits, depending on the wearer....and the observer, of course.
My understanding was that it was on the lees for 10 years. Luneau once lectured us about how his consulting enologist dissed his lees in'76 and thought they had nothing to contribute, but he thought they were clean and fresh and left the wine on them for 10 years.originally posted by VLM:
