Just like old times...A Doghead spotting

Brad Kane

Brad Kane
It's been awhile since these three were spotted together and it was a welcome sight this past Sunday. For those that don't know, the fellow in the middle is the Doghead himself, Robert Callahan, who reports he is on the mend, will try to save some of the old threads that were lost on Wine Therapy and may start to post again in the future. All welcome news.

From left to right, Jeff Connell, Robert Callahan & Joe Dougherty

Is he really on the mend or are you just kidding?

(I dig the umbrella in Joe D's hand. Very Penguinesque)

Callahan is looking pretty good. I hope he follows up with some typically acid posts as soon as possible. I have been missing them...

I just want to clear the air for everyone on Disorder and publicly declare that Brad Kane and I have buried the hatchet. Not in his skull, but in the spirit of family and conviviality of the Louis/Dressner vow renewal.

I'd like to thank the minister, the gracious David Lillie, for helping me realize my spiritual duty in this respect.

There may even be a photo of Brad and I together to prove it.

Life is too short for internet grudges.

Quite right: "internet grudges" is 16 letters and "Life" is only 4.

Interestingly, the very first suggestion from the Internet Anagram Server for "internet grudges" is "reneged trusting". It gets to "Dunes regretting" only much later.

Though perhaps the most telling is, "I get denser. *grunt*"

Really? I just thought everybody was pissed off at Kane. When I came to know people on this board 9-10 years ago they told me that it was a natural state of being in the universe.

Are you including yourself in that group, Lou? If so, I stand in awe of your ability to set your animosity aside for Brad's periodic visits.

Our prayers have been answered.

Well, the only so-called evidence you have that the man in the photograph is the Doghead is that someone on the internet said it. Pretty slim epistemology.

It was cruel of you to remind me that Kane will be in town the end of this month and my wife is preparing a dinner at our home with Brad in atttendence.
I apologize for not answering your question immediately, but in shock, I have a tendency to maunder when apprised of Kane's upcoming presence in Napa. But I digress. How do I deal with Kane? I was board chairman of a Unitarian church with 400+ members and I managed to survive and prosper. Easier to herd & train CATS!

Jeff has been in Canada most of the time the last few years so he hasn't been exposed to GWB. That can help your mind greatly.

Nice to see a picture of Robert and glad to hear he is doing better. I got a chance to say hello to Jeff at the Chambers bash in March and yes, he does have that cheshire cat look.

Correction, Jeff is the cat who ate the canary.

It is at least as good as if the picture appeared in The Washington Post Style section.

Well so I was happy to be the one with something in my glass, but interesting that it was Robert amongst us who was looking on form. It would be amazing to have his participation again.
