Any thoughts about Dom Ganevat Pinot Noir

I had the 2004 Cuve Julien about three years ago. Nice but nothing extraordinary.

I have only had one example, I think it was the 2005, and loved it. The best Jurassic Pinot Noir I have had. The Trousseau, on the other hand, was a brett-filled, massive disappointment.

I saw the email and was curious about this myself. My experience with Jura Pinot noir hasn't been very positive.

puffeney pn is great. granted, its not as fun as either the ploussard or trousseau, but it is pretty damned cool...

My experience with Jurassic Pinot Noir has not been extensive, and I generally don't like it. I much prefer the Trousseau. But the Ganevat I had was very impressive, and much better than that year's Trousseau.

I've loved previous vintages. In contrast to other Jura reds it's closer to Burgundy in body.

That's what I like about it too, but it still has a distinct personality.
