Night before last, opened a bottle of NV (2006) Tue-Boeuf (Cheverny) Rouillon. I've come to be seen as both a basher and a proponent of natural wines, in fact, I'm neither. It's what's in the glass that counts. But seriously, I like Thierry and really like his wines. I haven't had this in a while so I brought out a bottle to accompany some home-made Korean BBQ. It was warmer and bigger, in that 2006 manner, than in the past, with a darker fruit character, with the gamay more in the background. It was really pleasant and balanced and was delicious with the food, although large for a Rouillon. I don't think it will age particularly well (but who cares really), but it is good as hell right now and grippy enough to handle the meat fat. I'd drink now and fro the next 2-3 years.
