I opened up a bottle of 2006 Barthod Les Bons Batons last night, trying to get a sense of the wine. It comes across very much like Chambolle, dense, brooding, with finely delineated fruit and a firm structure. It showed hints of alcohol, though, despite clocking in at 13%. I figure it's just young - which brings me to my question. How long to cellar such a wine? Les Bons Batons isn't a premier cru or above, but is held in high regard. Have Barthod's wines from this site aged well?
