Yes, that's right. The super rare 2001 which was never sold on the east coast. After hearing me whine about that for the last 6 years or so Andrew and Jennifer generously made me a gift of one.

Softer than most vintages, like a gentle lapping of water against the shore with the flavor going on and on like a feathery summer breeze. I'm glad I decided against opening it next Saturday, it might get lost with anything else but is a joy and a delight right now.

I just found that odd because I thought all these Dressner wines came in through Nyc and if anything it always seemed like the West Coast got slimmer pickins..

Oh well, I guess things aren't always what they seem.
