Wine geek foodie nirvana in SF?

Did I miss it? No mention of Quince. Kinda high end but I've had some really fine meals there.
Thor said he was underwhelmed, but I'm with you, Ned. Especially if you can get on their good side and can bring your own bottles in. It also has been most useful that it is two blocks down the hill from me, but alas, they are moving. :(

Less underwhelmed than not as impressed as I wanted to be given the hype (and the price). Some mixed service issues, and my pasta (which they're famous for) was overcooked. What they did well, they did extremely well. I'd happily go back, but I wouldn't be in a massive hurry to do so in a city with so many other options.

Yeah, the people not leaving was a problem. But they mostly seemed to be investment bankers who were filling up their egos; I think a lot of them probably aren't eating at Quince any more.

Was that you at the next table?
No, I was with the party standing around waiting for you to vacate the table while you continued to tell stories after having finished your post-dessert coffee. ;)
