Btw, Jay, if you have time you should get to Palate Food & Wine , in Glendale and Lou's.

Ian, they had two binfuls of the sec when I was there yesterday.

Thanks. I spoke to a sales rep on the phone yesterday after I saw your post; she said they'd put seven or eight bottles out a few weeks before and that was all they had. Obviously, I am too trusting.

(thereby, of course, ignoring treasures such as the Hispanic Museum that only [certain] visitors to NYC would know about).
That's the Hispanic Society with its staggering collection of late 19th century paintings, particularly by Joaqun Sorolla. It's up in Harlem, and only we Hispanics ever get there.
Yes, I stand corrected: the Hispanic Society Museum. In addition to late 19th C paintings, there are others from the likes of Velazquez, Goya, El Greco, Zurbaran, and Ribera -- not too shabby -- as well as fabulous ceramics, sculpture, manuscripts, etc.

Even Hispanics don't seem to go. I've never been when there were more than 1-2 other people visiting at the same time. The guard to visitor ratio is astonishing.

KL has sparkling 01 and rose for $20.
A little PSA: I was strongly warned off the sparkling ros by a certain ex employee who would be in a good position to know.
