Stephen South
2002 Domaine Bernard Morey et fils Chassagne-Montrachet Clos Saint Jean, 1er Cru, alc 13.5%....$30 at a local auction....good dark yellow color...spirited nose with apples and quince...very smooth and full on the palate with a medium weight...the fruits build nicely and are framed by a very gentle sense of wood...the finish is long and pleasurable....no prem-ox here....drinking very well...did well with grilled white peaches with simple syrup and parmesean chunks....

Interesting. Does not sound like that would be a friendly dish for dry white wines. But I guess it is.
