While we are defining terms, how about 'Hipster Wine' ?

I just had a bottle of Verdelho last week.
Described as a "straight grner verltliner knock-off."

It was good. Interesting. Worth experiencing.
Had the same old CA problems - super high alcohol created an incredible sense of sweetness, and it cost something just south of $30.

Probably not going to change anyone's minds either way.
I'm curious to try the skin-contact whites though (de facto hipster wines).

I have a much clearer understanding of this question after seeing a bit of the 1957 Funny Face. There is a bar scene with "How long has this been going on" that is quite illuminating.

In the scene before, Fred Astaire shows up in the fashion house in Paris with a bunch of bottles of sparkling wine that he claims come from the Napa Valley. Amazing that Napa had that much of a name even in those days.

You are so wrong!

Busted passed away last night. He was somewhere between 14 and 15-years-old.

He has been tired and ill the past few weeks, but was in no pain and died peacefully at the Vets office in Cluny.

He was one fabulous dog and will be greatly missed by everyone who loved him.

Oh, no. That's very, very sad. I will miss Buster, he was a noble dog.

I keep telling myself that they are only dogs, but I have yet to believe it. My dogs are my friends. Sorry for your loss.
