Florida Jim
2008 Brun, Rose: dry, light, not overly concentrated or the least bit cloying. Quaff on!

2007 Do Ferreiro, Cepas Villas Albarino: too young to deliver what it has but still pleasant; not showing its depth and breadth.

2006 Albrecht, Pinot Gris Cuvee Romanus: Off-dry and with just a little syrup-like flavor/texture; not bad but nothing to search for.

2007 Brocard, Bourgogne Kimmeridgien: A 100% chardonnay that smells like it may have a bit of sauvignon in it; lots of cut, minerals and unoaked chard. flavors needs some time in the cellar to open.

2000 Jadot, Bonnes Mares: a touch volatile and slightly disjointed on the finish but everything else is pure Grand Cru; I expected the iron fist and got the velvet glove lovely wine that went through several incarnations over the evening, all of them enticing.

Best, Jim

Yes, patience with the 07 Do Ferreiro. I think it will be a great vintage, but for that very reason it'll take longer for it to start showing its stuff...

I really liked the bottle I had over the weekend. Paired with a whole NC snapper grilled over coals. Sure it's young, but the salty minerality with the sweet flesh of the snapper was really a great combo.
