We are finally, after 4,000 miles on the road, settling in to our place in Sonoma.
When we got here, I noticed that I had left half a bottle of the 2006 de Villaine, Mercury in the fridge. It was stoppered but it had been there since we left in February.
Once it warmed up, it was sensational; very complex and detailed with that somewhat savage note I get from Mercury and beautifully balanced. No oxidation or falling apart whatever.
