RIP Stphane Cossais

I was saddened to read on Jim's Loire blog that Stphane Cossais passed away over the weekend. Heart attack at age 42, scary stuff.

I've read of him with interest for some time - it seems he trained with Nadi and Charly Foucault and his ambition was to make a Montlouis white in the style of Clos Rougeard's Brz. I've not tasted his wines, although I have a bottle of his 2005 "Le Volagr" on order from the pied piper of Seattle.

Shocking. I have only tasted his wines 2-3 times, but liked what I tasted and I was expecting to hear more of his wines in the future.

My condolences to the family.
