Self promotion/criticism

VisitJim, Where will you be based? I'll be in Hbg next saturday, the 8th and the 9th, possible to hook up? And, how natural is natural vinification? thanks, Alice

Check your e-mail for visiting info.
Natural as in no RO, cones, enzymes, color setting additions, chemistry experiments, heating and cooling, sweet spotting, filtering and, the like. And from what I am hearing and seeing, that puts me in a decreasing minority among CA producers.
However, I have no fear of bleeding, watering back, acid adjustment, sulpher and innoculation (virtually required in a multi-producer facility), if the must makes it evident that any of these are needed.

I find Fla. Jim's deviousness in promoting wines that he doesn't intend to sell or isn't sure he likes to be especially troubling.

BEWARE THE TRICKSTER!!!

Hey, it's the best marketing of all: "I've got some wine, but you can't buy it"
"How do I get on the mailing list?" The mailing list is the easy part. Oh, you can get on, but you won't ever ever see a drop of this nectar reach your lips!

Ha, I love it. Insidious.

For my next trick . . .
- sell it all in Asia
- make sangria with it
- let VLM market it through the Transluceny Report with a ridiculous mark-up
- force Coad to own an entire case and not write about it
- ?
You choose.
Best, Jim

You forgot the trick where you send a sample to VLM to review, then bottle 1 kL of excess Central Valley juice and sell it to his legions of gullible followers.

I predict that VLM will turn on Jim, demanding that he fire himself for falling prey to conflict of interest. But then Anthony Dias Blue will put Nathan in his place and save the day.
