Personal Note

Joe Dressner

Joe Dressner
I have received several notes inquiring about my health.

I just finished a sixth cycle of chemotherapy and will have an MRI in early September.

God and David Buecker willing, it will show stable results and I will be on my way to remission maybe.

I have developed a pernicious case of Chemo Fog (see the Tuesday Science Times for a full treatment) and decided to dump my celebrated blog for Twitter participation. I had trouble getting to 140 Characters on Twitter, but putting together coherent sentences for my blog, even paragraphs, seemed just too much for me.

I'm feeling better the past three days and took a bike ride for the first time since October today. I still have limited use of my right leg but I feel ready to push it some. I need help getting on the bike and getting off and I'm no speed demon, but I never imagined I would be able to ride again.

So, CaptainTumorMan.com is back, maybe I won't die soon, and I'm looking forward to upcoming Jeebus with Rahsaan.

Best,

Joe

Congratulations Joe!

Chemo Fog can be a terrible thing.

Good to hear of your improvement. If you remember at your tasting in San Francisco I said I would see you in October and you cast a doubtful gaze at me and said something like "well who knows"? Don't doubt me anymore, I may not have Bueker's powers but remember I was born in Manhattan and the natives know everything.
Ok, so much for the niceties, when the hell is the container of wine for the west coast going to arrive?

word has itthat it's here...
As I was sitting before the computer a bright light flared in the heavens and a voice intoned in a soft lyrical manner "it is here, it has arrived, and from my computer "you have mail". It was from our wine rep fair creature of Dressner's esteemed co. Wine Imports. Who said that Bueker didn't have a direct line to the almighty ( whomever that may be?) I will keep the faith in the future.
