Dashe 2007 Zinfandel "L'Enfant Terrible" Potter Valley - last tasted 12/08 (then, it was disjointed, hot, wacky, and I hoped time would help); Day 1: a bit more coordinated but still loose-y goose-y like an ordinary beaujolais, the sort of thing that has chunks of flavor and texture just bouncing around; Day 3: changed quite a bit, I can tell now that this is zinfandel, still much lighter and more delicate than typical CA zin; hold, hold, hold
Thomas-Labaille 2004 Sancerre Chavignol "Les Monts Damnes", Cuvee Buster - last tasted in 2/06 (then, it was lovely then but needed time); opened yesterday in Buster's honor: practically transparent, nectarine, a taste of gras that could be almost waxy/lanolin; blind, I might guess this is a really good Loire chenin blanc; long finish; so so good
