Interesting to hear that I am not the only one having bad luck with the '97 Pepiere. Clos des Briords, too. There is a big wet wool aroma, is that from botrytis? I thought botrytis gave a hay/apricot aroma?

I'd say that roughly 1/3 of my '97 Busters have been corked. I haven't had as much trouble with Briords. But I think it's getting on time to drink them.
We had a '97 Briords just last week and it was not in a good place. Not corked or anything just wooly. A Wooly Briords that sat in the fridge for days--a bad sign in theBixler household as Sal usually drinks up anything good while I'm out working.
