Muscadet and Beaujolais Bans des Vendanges

It's September 11 for Muscadet (despite the fact that acidity is still very high due to a not all that sunny summer).

September 15 for Beaujolais.

What is happening in the Northern Rhone? I thought I read on Ebob it was flooding in Tournon, and it was so bad they had to close the auto route.

Closest weather stations to Tournon that I can find:

St-Pray is about 14 km down the road (south) and on the Rhne. Looks like they received about 1.17 inches on September 6, but the rest of the month has been dry: http://www.wunderground.com/weather...8696&day=10&year=2008&month=9&graphspan=month

Granges-les-Beaumont, which is also about 14 km from Tournon, but east and is either within the Crozes-Hermitage appellation or just outside it, did receive quite a bit more rain on September 4 and 6 and is at 5.18 inches for the month: http://www.wunderground.com/weather...ALP3&day=10&year=2008&month=9&graphspan=month

So bottom line, it's hard to say. They're not looking to harvest (at least at Chave) until October, so the main threat would probably be botrytis. Weather has been fairly warm, but it depends on what the wind has been doing, too.
