Nothing like white burg funk. And pre mox is a bummer.

95 Ramonet CM Vergers. Classic Ramonet, but with a bit less cut than normal, esp. in what I would think the 95 vintage would be (I haven't had that much). A lot of that white burg skank that kicks up and which I like a lot.

Drinking this wine along with an 05 Pernot Bourgogne (also lovely), it makes me sad that premox is an issue these days. There's nothing like well aged white Burgundy. I have pretty much moved away from them for that reason only. I do like drinking white Burg when it's fresh also but my cellaring days are over, at least for now.

Oh yes, a lot.

Terrific stuff, young vine Puligny, a steal. I can't think of a Bourgogne blanc I'd rather drink.

Roulot or Leflaive, but nothing is even close for the price.

But, c'mon. Premature oxidation. Prem ox.

Not "pre mox." Prem ox.

Prem ox.

Prem ox.

I'm even ready to say VLM is right about everything.

Though on second thoughts, pre "moxidation" is kinda interesting. Moxy and all.

I tasted through some '07 Domaine Leflaive yesterday, although the Bourgogne Blanc was not among the bottles. I thought the quality was high.
