Cru closed for renovations

I presume that the complaint need not spell everything out--they're itching to get into discovery, no?

Like how Koch has 'discovered' that his wines are fakes? Curious how that isn't detailed at all. Or how "Rudy" has yet to 'discover' where the fuck he bought his fakes from?

A few observations:

1. Koch has a topflight, major LA law firm (no surprise).

2. It is going to be very expensive to defend an action such as this. It sounds as though Rudy K may have some financial problems (depending on the accuracy of the representation of the $10 million to come in next year).

3. Based on the allegations, it sounds as though Acker was working hand in glove with Rudy, or at least aware of the problematic nature of many of the bottles (remember the hype Acker put out before the two sales of the Cellar?), yet Acker is not named as a defendant.

This was surprising to me as well. Separate suit?

One would think that AMC would have been in the best position to identify Rudy as the source of the bottles. Surely they've had some chats with representatives of Mr. Koch.

And yet there still managed to be a mistake in the brief (or whatever the fuck it was).

What the hell do they teach in law school?

It's a complaint -- just allegations, and not even verified. What mistake do you find?

Better repitition than omission.

Anyway, I'd prefer to keep the gratuitous bashing on topic. Lawyer-bashing I can get anywhere.

Do you really think it is gratuitous?

This isn't stinky to you?

It wouldn't shock me in the slightest if this wasn't some cabal.

Let's pause a moment to consider that we have heard only one side of the story.

Trial first, hanging after.

Oh, I'm all for justice running its due course. I'm just saying here that, judging from what's in the complaint and in the popular press, things are smelling mighty fishy on any number of fronts. I wonder how far Paul Wasserman, who is listed as Rudy's partner in Terroir, will get dragged down in this cesspool.

Yeah.

What did these people know and when did they know it?

Kurwanian, Kapon, Rosania, Milstein, Wasserman... the plot thickens.
