Fay Vineyard -- Polished bouquet, rich, still tight, dark berries. Dense dark berries, tar, smoke, firm tannins, black pepper, well balanced, maybe some herbs, could have more personality. [A- - A]
SLV -- Elusive bouquet, nice perfume, some leather, spice (black pepper?). Nice roundness, generous power, still firm tannins, rich, blackberries, structure, vanillin notes. [A]
Cask 23 -- Slight volatile acidity (or chemical?), cassis, touch of herbaceousness. Round, medium smooth, good balance, firm tannins, large profile, depth of dark fruits. [A- - A]
