I can probably make this happen as long as I have two weeks advance notice and it's not in the first week of September.
He means here, I think.

No, not really, unfortunately. I don't really have the pull there to commandeer the bar for the Great Amari Service of 2010.

Possibly I might be able to get the venue daytime, but not nighttime.

I was more saying that I would love to attend, but would need advanced notice, should the spiritual successor to the 2009 iteration be realized.

Just to toss a grungy BoSox cap into the ring, there may be a more northerly venue available within a couple weeks.www.journeymanrestaurant.com

This particular venture might not benefit from the legacy of Mr. Dalton's toil, but would be happy during a night's dinner service to pour whatever had been found commercially in this market. Accompanying, if not expertly paired, food could be provided with total pricing in line with Mr. Dalton's previous Convivia.

It might also be possible to host sub-rosa a gathering to explore a wider variety of bottles when the restaurant is closed to the general public- on a Monday or Tuesday evening, or for lunch through the week.

So lunch would be included, then?

Sure, we could do lunch.

(Levi, just in case it came off the wrong way, my oblique speech was meant as a feeble attempt at humor and not snark directed your way. I'm profoundly grateful and respectful of the work you continue to do to facilitating some of the best eating and drinking experiences I've had both in wine-focused group settings and in fine dining. You come up to Boston, I'll put you up, and we'll have some fun.)

We would absolutely host a seminar either at lunch or dinner on an off-night, provided you don't start pouring the amari till staff can join you.

I don't wear a BoSox cap, grungy or not.

Seems like everybody wants to host an amari tasting these days.

Tonight at work someone asked me for an all orange wine pairing menu.

Recently, a wine bar called Anfora was opened in New York.

Earlier this evening Lyle Fass posted that he really enjoyed a Cornelissen wine.

I really don't know what the fuck is going on.

Like, moments ago, this was not the deal. If you wade up thread, I was basically having a conversation with myself.

If people start clamoring for Pie Franco Chinati, it will be, just, I don't know.

Thanks, Seth. Always nice to see you, and hopefully I'll be in Boston again soon.

Not everyone, just Seth and I. Who in this case represent a single establishment anyway.

This is what happens when you talk to yourself in public.

Rahsaan, is that you, Buddy?

So many characters here.

Too much humor. Can't be Rahsaan. And I think twl might weigh even less than Rahsaan, which is an accomplishment hard to understand in this crowd.

My pregnant wife is now rapidly approaching my weight. Normally, she too is on the slim side, but obviously things change when you are with child.

All that said, Tse Wei and his wife seemed to be another level of slimness.

You know, you should write these insights down, so they're not lost to posterity.
