So long Pig Fucker

It seemed to be alluded to on the intertubes, but it looks official.

My homey, Guilhaume Gerard has left Terroir.

I have much love and respect for Guilhaume, Luc, and Dagan and hope that this was all amicable and the bonds of friendship weren't strained to breaking.

Terroir is one of my favorite places on Earth and I would be a penniless drunk if it were walking distance.

I prefer to be an optimist about it and think that if the little Pig Fucker goes out on his own, there will be one more place that I'll love and wish were in my city.

I stopped in last Sunday, and things there seemed to be going very well.
Luc mentioned plans to go online for wine sales, and the place seemed plenty busy, especially considering how glorious it was outside (80 degrees and sunny, no fog).

Agree about being penniless if living nearby.

In the course of a couple of hours, I sampled a Pineau d'aunis rose from 100 yr old vines, the latest from Marc Angeli, Aligote from de Moor, Coenobium orange wine, Tissot vin jaune, the 05 Clos Rougeard Clos (which is open and surprisingly elegant for the year), and Dard and Ribo St Joseph. Also some Mondeuse. Pretty good for a Sunday afternoon.

Penniless, but very happy.

i hear that he and linus are setting up some new thing in the czech republic. i'm not sure it's wine-related tho.
I was in Prague about a year ago for a week. They could use anything relating to good wine.
