OK, would you settle for CFE isn't a bottle, it is a wine. Not every bottle from every vintage will be that magical older bottle.
OK.

See, isn't all this genial agreement boring?

Every third bottle from every fifth vintage. The rest you can stick up your ass.

And
don't forget to decant your Barolo for 16 hours while you're at it.

Fucking English majors.

What did English majors do here? I wasn't even half following this thread.

It's a standard VLM generalized attribution.

You can probably safely ignore it.

So Thor you try and rile up, but me you're polite with (relative to your normal comportment of course)?

You write better than Nathan. The result's more grammatically satisfying.

Didn't anyone check these guys for box cutters?

That was also funny.

Boy, funny stuff from VLM and BK in the same day. That almost never happens.

Good times.

Where is Rahsaan to ask if it shouldn't be "inspect" rather than '"check" these guys for box cutters?'

I'm opening a 1996 CFE tomorrow night. I hope it's prematurely oxidized just for fun.

Last one I had was prematurely opened, not prematurely oxidized. But the simian peloton can't be stopped, I guess.

Opened two in the last year & had one of each.

You are mistaking me for someone else. I've never claimed premature oxidation for these wines. In fact, I have said the problem is overstated and often confused with other flaws.

It's Jay Miller & BK who claim "pre-mox".
