2001 D'Angerville - Are they good?

I was wondering if the 2001 D'Angervilles are good. I know hail hit Volnay that year, so I was wondering if the D'Angerville wines suffered because of it. Especially with respect to Champans, Taillepied, and the other premier crus.
 
The few I tried back on release were disappointing. Not bad, but not a bit light and simple. I'm still holding onto one bottle in the hopes a miracle occurs.
 
I bought three bottles of the 2001 D'Angerville Taillepied for $30 each and three bottles of the 2000 Bruno Clair Fonteny for $35, and shipping was $30. Fair?

Is it against the rules to mention the retailer? I don't want to break a board rule, but I am willing to tell people if it is ok.

If it is your store, people will be unhappy with you.

If you are just a customer, no one minds. Unless you can think of a reason why they should?
 
Not my store at all. I'm not in the wine trade.

It is called Knightsbridge Wine Shoppe. I stumbled upon it on Wine Searcher. Never been there in person (it is in Chicago, I think).

It is, in a NW suburb or neighborhood if I recall aright. Not a bad store, though the prices aren't usually very attractive. Sounds like you may have stumbled upon a sale or something.

Well, happy to give a report when my shipment comes in. But, obviously, you might want to take everything I say with a mine of salt.
