Deeply burnished gold color, with lots of lanolin and lemon-filled oak spice, this oily-textured wine full of lanolin and overt oak would make me think Bordeaux blanc if tasted blind. Does maintain decent acidity. 14.5% Perhaps trebbiano is the chardonnay of Italy, as it's winemakers can see fit to make it in any style they want. Good with salmon and turnip gratin, even if not quite what I expected. Overpriced though, selling upwards of $50US. B+/A-

You know, I've had this over the last 4 days and it's really not bad. oaky? Yeah, but not offensively so. Surprisingly it went well with a number of foods, including a delicious match with scalloped potatoes with Spanish ham & leeks. Yum city. Don't think I'll buy another though due to price constraints, but I could see myself appreciating another glass of this somewhere down the line.
