What is going on Thursday evening, Oct. 29th?

It is a common courtesy. It's the least one can do if one is going to bump the original photog's bandwidth (which s/he is presumably paying for).

it may depend on the venue. for the nydn they were very specific about the need for photo credits. contractually they specified that any photos i post that are not specifically attributed they assume to be mine.

Is it customary for bloggers to give photo credits, or to link back to the source of pictures, or is that typically not done?

Just curious.

They should. I've seen my pictures used without credit.

The answer's "yes" to both, for the reason Jeff indicates and because people aren't courteous. If you're just looking for generalized art, I'd suggest exploring the Wikimedia Commons.

Other than that, I give you permission to steal any of my photos of Brad Kane.

Please.

I actually was asking if it was the picture OF Sharon. The pervy yellow pants one.

But, anyway, I'm content to let the Score stand at

JOKE 0
MISSED UNDERSTANDING 1

edited to add: although there was the whole Jay Miller Super Bowl bit as well, so maybe we have a trend on our hands here.

The score is actually:

NOT REALIZING SOMEONE WASN'T RESPONDING TO YOUR QUESTION 1

HAVING ENOUGH BARBERA ON YOUR WINE LIST 0

Yes, but that was done for your safety.

Oh, okay, because I thought it was

THE BARBERA JOKE ISN'T REALLY FUNNY, BUT BRAD KEEPS TELLING IT X TIMES: 3,140

Seriously, who yearns after Barbera?

It's like yearning after the Teletubbies.
I sometimes have an itch for Barbera. But not particularly with your food, or with your list in competition.

Of course, oak-aversion therapy can cure that itch for good.

An Announcement From the C. Wine Department

The denizens of the C. Cellar Team have made available a Barbera for the delectation of those who would like it. The said Barbera has been on the wine list for over 2 years, and is available to all who ask for it. The Barbera in question is available for purchase at any point during regular business hours, seven days a week.

If it were to happen that someone should peruse the C. wine list and fail to notice said Barbera, the C. Wine Department assumes no responsibility for the onslaught of tiring and redundant jokes that may thus arise.

Thank you.

Lorenzo Corino, Cascina Roera, Migliavacca, Cappellano...

Though I wouldn't change Levi's list a bit, unless it was by being the lucky customer who was privileged enough to enjoy the last bottle of something.

Thank you for all the effort that went into a lovely night, Levi. It was a rare pleasure to not only put these wines into context with each other and across vintages, but do so with such an assembly of enthusiasts. I value that greatly. And not just because I was sitting next to the guy that brought the Munjebel.

Thank you for the generosity of the Foillard as well, and I was excited to order the Vestini Campagnano after your praise of it here.

Thank you, Seth. It was very nice to have you at the dinner.
