Rumor has it...

You could start as trailer trash and work your way up?

Worked for me.

Here's my strategy: I'm trailer-trash now, but I'm learning French!

What do you have against A to Z Wineworks of Oregon?

You mean his followers who were the victims of the St. Bartholomew's massacre, and those who fled to Berlin after Louis XIV revoked the Edict of Nantes, and about whom Meyerbeer wrote (or used as a pretense) an opera?

As I understand it, trailer trash live in trailer parks, are dirt poor and drink beer. Eurotrash live on yachts off the Cote d'Azur, have obscene amounts of money so they don't have to work and drink only very expensive hard drinks and wine. I'm afraid I don't see the career path from one to the other. But this may be why I haven't yet become Eurotrash. I don't know where the entry level position is.

Not to worry. I'm still in shock at the above revelation that Michel is a natural blonde and has just been dyeing his hair so I won't be going out soon.

It does explain a lot though...

I love Cracker. Fantastic band. Great, cheeky tune.

Welp, a self-professed redneck had better like Cracker, donchathink? David Lowery r0Xors and is one of the least pretentious "rock stars" I have run across. I was a big Camper Van fan, but even that didn't prepare me for the release of "Teen Angst (What the world needs now)" and possibly the best music video ever. Classic!

Mark Lipton

Monks of Doom!!

Great band and totally agree about Lowery. I had a bunch of friends in the Richmond scene (check out Dirtball) that spoke highly of him. Never knew him personally, just saw him around.

A spontaneous outbreak of CvB/MoD love on Wine Disorder - you never know I guess.

I grew up with Camper Van and the Monks (so to speak) and saw them lots back in the high school and early college days. Didn't really get Cracker at first, Lowery just seemed strung out and ragged at the time. But Teen Angst (followed by Kerosene Hat) eventually worked its way into my veins head.

I caught one of the Camper Van reunion shows several years ago and it was a blast. They played all the good stuff, even a couple of songs from Tusk.

I'm still kicking myself for missing out on Cracker at a tiny venue in Iowa City back in August. I've been on a big Cracker kick ever since. Figures.

I aspire to live in a trailer. Like one of these:

OK, maybe as a weekend getaway on a lake somewhere. Admittedly, owning a second home has a higher carbon footprint. But I'll do the urban homesteading thing with the primary residence to offset it- some chickens, bees, a nice veggie garden, vermiculture. geothermal, solar, wind... Call me Hippy v2.0 or something.

I think it makes perfect sense. Wouldn't you expect me to be a fan?
