TN: With rich beef broth

Ramonet 2005 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge "Morgeot" - Juicy acidity, lightweight texture, cranberries and maybe just a few raspberries (so, not really lush), the style reminds me of some Savigny wines. Goes beautifully with the simple dish, cutting back against the rich mushroom-beef flavors and rice/potato-thickened texture. I am happy.

Goes with the chunk of Cremeux de Bourgogne, too.

Many thanks to Lee Short for introducing me to red Chassagne-Montrachet.

It was a Ramonet that started me down that road. Good to hear the '05 is drinking well now. I think I have 3 of those, and was planning on letting them sit. From your note, sounds like they should be fine with some age on them, though.
