Parisian spirit guide needed

Why not just hang out at the bar of a Southwest-oriented bistro which has a big selection of Armagnac and Cognac? Surely there must be some that would fit the bill. Also, does Legrand Filles & Fils stay open late?

This sounds like a great idea. So if I come in and tell you I'm suffering from concerns about retirement savings plus regrets over not having pursued a career in puppetry, you'll prescribe just the right drink?

I've got the tonic for what's ailing ya'!

I'd echo the bar scene: Hemingway and Harry's New York are classics, though you might be doing yourself a disservice in not going for cocktails.

I'd expect any bar at a decent sized hotel, not just the superfancy ones, to have at least some selection.

For all I know, my Dutch spirit aficionado will crash at the end of dinner. But since he and I once stayed up until all hours drinking our way through my sad little Scotch collection, I figured I owed him the opportunity.

Thanks.
