2003 Joguet Chene Vert

Delightful sparkling red. Nose of cherry and cedar, flavors aligned, with cheering, fresh acidity and a ballast of rubby tannin. A titch short on the finish, but it's young. This should polish up with additional years, I imagine, but it's a good drink now. At 14% abv, a bit heavy-hitting. Fine wine.

I assume the sparkling is a reference to the color and there was no prickliness here?
