Maurice Ecard Savigny Les Beaune Les Narbantons 1er Cru '96 --
Medium red, some edge fade.
Big spice, bright cherries, nice earth, robust aromas, complex.
Vivacious acid and tannins, good backbone of red fruits, medium depth initially, a bit of a powdery/dusty texture, still quite primary, toasty nuance, gained weight and fat in the glass.
Moderate length finish. [E]
Served with Brick Cornish Hen with Pan Sauce, Sauteed Mushrooms, and White Beans w/Piquillo Peppers..
