The world's most expensive hooch?

I bought some years ago at auction (not for my own consumption) and vaguely remember that Garnet had it at reasonable prices (not that different from other flashy distilled spirits, say $75 to $100 per bottle).

I've had it(not the 1990)-very nice but not any better than Dujac, Lamy or the Drouhin Clos Des Mouches Marc which comes in a lovely bottle.

The 1993 Hospices Marc is pretty solid. I remember it as, basically, a fairly complex grappa with a few sweetish anise-y notes. I think we paid 60-70 USD for it which I think was fair for some value of that word.

Haven't had the drc version.

I actually think the marc is the cheapest thing DRC makes. If not, it's close. The last time I saw a bottle at retail in the US, it was under $300.

It sucks ass. Like most marc.

Lulu's in SF had two vintages last time I was there, and it does suck even when you only have to drink a shot.

As for worst booze QPR it has to be the Moutai that I saw in Shanghai (285,000 RMB = $42,000). Solid gold capsule and a brownish cast rather than the usual clear color, probably due to some dissolved deer penis or whatever.
